Edmund Harry Smith has been working professionally in photography for the last 15 years. Following a passion for the art that began during high school in the 1980’s, Edmund entered The University of the Arts in 1987. Following his graduation in 1991, he exhibited his senior thesis work at Philadelphia’s renowned “Print Club”.
Over the next nine years, Edmund pursued a career in commercial portrait photography, which brought him initially to the San Francisco Bay area in 1992, but ultimately led to his settling in Seattle. After working for years as a professional portrait photographer, Edmund began to create fine art images again in 2001.
Over these last few years, from 2001 to 2008, he has made numerous stunning black & white and color photographs depicting a wide range of subject matter, from crushed metal in junkyards, to wood shaped by the wind and ocean, to vivid flowers in natural settings.
Edmund lives in Mount Vernon, Washington with his wife Teresa, and continues to create and exhibit photographs in galleries throughout the Pacific Northwest.
